Steel armor is a Pre-Hardmode armor. Its set bonus is great considering how easy it is to get early. Its made from a total of 50 Steel Bars at an anvil.

A full set grants a basic 13 defense plus a set bonus of 10 defense, which equals a total of 23 defense.
