The Abyss Armor is a Post-Plantera hardmode summoner set. It is craftable using materials from the Wall of Shadows. The Shadowflame effect on the set bonus refers to the minions summoned via the matching Shadow Staff. The armor creates a, cosmetic, faint afterimage trail behind the player as they walk. And when near enemies the purple bubbles left by the players walking will fire out to attack. It increases Minion Damage by 36%, Increased max number of minions by 4 and Increased Mana by 40.
While the tooltips only mention increasing your maximum number of minions both the Breastplate and Greaves actually increase your minion count by 2 each!
